This looks like a new string of batteries... I bought a 950mAh one that has the same blue text on the inside of the battery.... for $17.95

I just ordered it. Shipping $7. It's USD. Dell's battery is $99.

I may be under a misperception: do the 1800 mAh batteries stick out the back of the Axim a bit, interfering with a Rhinoskin case?

All extended batteries, Dell's 1800mAh, Mugen's 2000mAh and any other competitor's 1800mAh (or thereabouts) will be too large for the rhinoskin case. The best is the 950mAh or 1100mAh battery. These still fit the case.

True, or you could just use a Dremel and cut out a hole just big enough to fit the battery. It actually worked really well for me!

I'd love to see a picture of that if you have it. Post it here. That sounds like a cool idea. Could even be marketable.

Pictures...
Here' a few pics...

Now given you'll notice some scratches on the back side, I normally do things like this very carefully, and avoid imperfections, but I was in a rush to get it done before work today...

Anyway, here ya go!

P.S. - The Strength of the case was not compromised at all from the size of the hole...

Looks nice. Does this make it more secure or did you leave enough space around the battery? I don't know why Rhinoskin hasn't done this. It would take a small punch and die set with a low tonnage press to professionally punch out the opening. They could even make it as a knockout in their product that could be punched out manually by the customer.

Looks nice though!

Actually I got it close enough, that the Axim sits a bit more snug. I feel more secure with it now. I agree they could really get these cases moving if they just added an option with / without punched hole...

P.S. - I think I might be buying one of your 2000mah batteries, I got the stock 950mah, and a 1800mah, but the 950 is worthless cause I'm always on wireless...

@ Maced: You stated that you just bought a $17 950 mAh battery on Ebay, right? Have you received it yet? Did "Lisa" email you and tell you that she actually shipped it FIRST CLASS MAIL instead of the Auction stated UPS GROUND?

Dude, we just payed $7 for USPS FIRST CLASS MAIL! I've emailed the seller and asked about their "bait-and-switch" and the lack of Delivery Confirmation and No Insurance which had they shipped it like they said they would via UPS Ground, Insurance and Tracking would have been included! (I smell a sham).

@Vengence: That case looks SWEEEET! How long did it take you to do it?
