Just open up ActiveSync, and Explorer...
Then go into your Storage Card, and drag whatever you need on to your desktop. Be selective...you don't want to use the USB connection for any seriously large files (i.e. movies, large audio files) if you can help it.
You can also get an external reader, and drag and drop that way, too. It's the best way to copy large files.
