I saw this the other day. Has anyone tried it yet ? It'a a 56k SD Modem card. Wouldn't mind grabbing that if it does indeed work. I believe it may be the first 56k card available for SD slot.

You are right, it is the first SD modem. The really cool part about this upcoming line from Pretec is the actual modem is detachable from the SD attachment. It can be used with a CF attachment, or whatever the next standard may be, as well as other items in the line like the SD GPS. Pretty cool idea.

Sounds like a bad idea. I'd rather not have a phone cable sticking out of my SD slot to get snagged on something. I've seen a couple of Bluetooth 56k modems that make more sense to me and are compatible with a wide range like this one seems to be.

Looks like a great idea. I might have gone for it, but bought a Zoom BT modem earlier this month. More $ than the Zoom, but smaller footprint. I presume SDIO transfer rate is faster than BT, too. Be interested to see reviews from early buyers.
