Why would you want one? I don't believe there is one, as it would be a waste of time to make one.

Unless you don't happen to have a laptop or PC with you when you want to download something. Like when you're travelling.

A p2p program like kazaa would be almost useless on a Pocket PC

Itd be more convenient than download to pc, then transfer to ppc. if sshanepowelll wanted to use a laptop, he wouldnt have started this topic to begin. i agree with the irc method. ive yet to get searchirc.com to work on my axim though

Sometimes your PC is your PPC, but with a smaller screen. If you're travelling, you don't carry your PC around with you. And why would something like Kazaa or Emule be useless on a PPC? I have a gig of stuff on my SD card, about as much as I share on my PC. Maybe more.
It's not convenient to download to my PC when it's 1500 miles away. Or when I'm stuck in an airport for 3 hours between flights.
It's a PocketPC. Why is that concept so hard for people to understand? It might not be able to do all the things you can do on a PC, but it seems to me a person would want it to do as many things that you can do on a PC as possible. And it's frustrating when other PPC users don't think it should.
It's like the argument about large hard drives. "Why would you want a large hard drive on your PPC?" And the answer is, because it's a pocket sized PC, that's what it claims to be, and that's what it should be in as many ways as possible.

I'm in agreement with using the ppc as a replacement for my desktop and laptop. I just got an axim x50v for Christmas and I can tell you, the first thing I did was find a way to connect to my wireless connection and download music, surf the net and read an ebook at the same time. While I didn't find an actual P2P client like Kazaa, I did discover usenet and a web interface which allows me to browse all sorts of movies and music right from pocket explorer which I can then download straight to my ppc, unzip and play. Beats the hell out of transferring from desktop, and will come in especially handy on the road.
I found this useful enough to write a tutorial on exactly what I did and it is going to be posted on my site in the near future if anyone else is interested. Everything you'll need to know about downloading the good stuff straight to your ppc including instructions, software, etc... is being put up soon. You can check my profile for the link if you want.
I see my axim X50v as my computer when I'm not in front of my desktop and if I can make it do everything I do on my computer, then perfect, and so far, there have been no disappointments. This machine kicks ass. :approve:

I, too, would love a P2P client for Pocket PC. I've just got my Axim X30 High (brilliant machine, save some WiFi problems) and as my college has a 24Mbit connection shared over 11Mbps wifi, I'd love to queue up downloads to grab at college as my home connection is only 56k! :( If one's made available, I'll make sure I'm the first to know about it. I would use IRC but personally I don't like it as it's just too much hassle and complications to get a file.

I have two 1Gb Lexar SD cards and I would love to have a P2P program. Whoever said that it would be useless doesnt understand all the possibilities for the ppc. I have a high-end desktop and notebook and I am sure that I will be taking my Axim to class to take notes now instead of my notebook. Also is there a pocket mIRC program that works well with DCC sends and allows you to load scripts?
