I'm in agreement with using the ppc as a replacement for my desktop and laptop. I just got an axim x50v for Christmas and I can tell you, the first thing I did was find a way to connect to my wireless connection and download music, surf the net and read an ebook at the same time. While I didn't find an actual P2P client like Kazaa, I did discover usenet and a web interface which allows me to browse all sorts of movies and music right from pocket explorer which I can then download straight to my ppc, unzip and play. Beats the hell out of transferring from desktop, and will come in especially handy on the road.
I found this useful enough to write a tutorial on exactly what I did and it is going to be posted on my site in the near future if anyone else is interested. Everything you'll need to know about downloading the good stuff straight to your ppc including instructions, software, etc... is being put up soon. You can check my profile for the link if you want.
I see my axim X50v as my computer when I'm not in front of my desktop and if I can make it do everything I do on my computer, then perfect, and so far, there have been no disappointments. This machine kicks ass.
