What carrier are you looking to get? That impacts what phones people can recommend.

I find the SonyEricsson phones have pretty flawless bluetooth implementations. Also, the T610/616/637 series is pretty damn small. Only downside is no speakerphone. They are GSM, so your carrier choice will make a big difference.

for verizon there is only 1 bluetooth phone and that is the motorola v710. Probably one of the more expensive phones out there , but it does have a lot of features. Video and pictures, transflash slot for mp3's and some other stuff.

verizon bluetooth
For Verizon you can also get an older phone, if you don't care about a camera and such. The Motorola 270C is tri-mode,and bluetooth. It's officially been discontinued, but there are some for sale on Ebay. The bluetooth module is a separate item. Some sellers include both, and some sell them separately. I've checked with Verizon and they will work on the current system.

Nice to know about the older models. My roomy has the v710. It's a nice phone. I personally wouldn't want one with some service disabled, but it depends on how you use it. For example, you cannot use your PDA to dial the phone with the v710. It's more like the Blackberry 7100t with the headset and handsfree profiles, but no OBEX etc.

get an unlocked SE T637
it works perfectly with Axim, good reception, class 8 GPRS, bt, cam (better than nothing)
highly recommended
avoid nokia 6820, the bt don't like each other (6820 and Axim)

I have and like Verizon Wireless' service. But, the only phone they have with Bluetooth is the Motorola v710. It's a nice phone, but more expensive then the standard right now. Not sure about other carriers, but I would guess that bluetooth enabled phones will cost a little extra $$$ for a lil while till the technology becomes more commonplace.

Anyone out there with a bluetooth phone for other carriers that knows otherwise?

I don't get you people. You use the Windows Mobile OS in your PDA, but not your phone? I recommend looking at Windows Mobile Smartphones. I have an unlocked Orange SPV E200, and love it. The bluetooth functions perfectly with my X50v.

Amazon.com has the SE T610 for a profit of a $150 when you take the 2 rebates, $100 from Amazon and $150 from TMobile with a one year agreement. You end up w/ Bluetooth (and it works very well) plus the best data xmission available. Just do a search on Amazon for all the info.
