and welcome to our community. You'll find a treasure trove of information and tons of people in the same situation as you willing to help. If you ever have any questions or comments: Aximsite is the place to go.
I know the anticipation of your new Axim can be almost overwhelming because I waited 3 weeks for mine.

It's very smart for you to take this time to figure out what you'll need and want before you get your Axim in your hands. I had screen protectors and a Rhinoskin Aluminum Hard Case in my hands a week before I received my Axim:
As for accessories, in order of importance:
1. Sturdy Case: I prefer a RhinoSkin Aluminum hard case, but you CAN'T use it with an extended battery unless you cut a hole in the back and fit it properly. There is a full array of great aluminum and leather cases which can be found at Aximcases.
2. Quality Screen Protector: Brando and Writeshield are highly prized and cheaper than Boxwave. (I've had bad dealings with Boxwave recently so I can't recommend them, sorry).
3. Extra Battery: A 2nd standard 950mAh battery is fine. It'll fit in ANY case- leather, Aluminum or otherwise. But since you travel often, I would suggest you to look into an Extended Battery but remember that you can't use it with any Hard Cases, basically only special Leather Cases will fit it. You can choose from an 1800mAh battery which is about double the battery life of the standard battery or you can also choose a Mugen battery that adds a little bit more battery life: 2000mAh and an enhanced "standard" battery of 1100mAh (the 1100mAh can fit into any case).
4. Large SD Card: You only have ONE slot with the X30 so you have to make the best of it. Get the LARGEST size you can afford. I would suggest a 1GB SD card. Don't buy anything less than 512MB or you'll soon find you're running out of space QUICKLY especially since you travel a lot and I'm sure you'll want to bring along a movie or two, MP3s, and pictures of your family for those long flights/trips.
5. Travel/Car Charger: Again, since you travel a good deal this is a no-brainer.
6. External Keyboard: If you enter a good deal of text, revise text documents, or deal with spreadsheets, you should definitely look into an External Keyboard. You have a wide range to choose from including Bluetooth, InfraRed, Foldable and Thumbkeyboards. Depending on your tastes and personal needs, choose accordingly. I chose a Dell Foldable Keyboard.
