Seems silly, I know....
Just got my Bluetooth dongle thingy, works great. HERE IS MY PROBLEM....

I am really bad about mis-placing (read: LOSING) things, and this tiny device is just begging to go missing. I use it to sync to my laptop as I travel, and plan to use it with GPS. Anyone out there have a clever way to keep this thing with you? Perhaps some manner of 'sleeve' attached to the laptop to hold it?

Mr K..... I am on pins and needles to see the clever pics YOU come up with, I promise. However, some practical ideas would be much appreciated from you all! Thanks again, and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Actually there are two classes of BT,
Class 1 devices have a range of 300 ft
Class 2 devices have a range of 30 ft

I have a Class 1 USB dongle, but when used with the Class 2 Axim your range will fall back to the Class 2 device.

If you have two Class 1 usb dongles say one on a desktop and one on a laptop then you could get a range of 300ft

I saw a device that connects to a PC (probably would work with a PPC) and you kept a matching piece with you. If these two pieces got too far away from each other the PC would sound an alarm.
They advertised it as a way to make sure your laptop wasn't taken while in an airport, if someone took it it would make annoying noises.
I googled real quick, but didn't find it, but with a little time you should be able to find it.
Is this what you were originally asking about, I know there has been some tangential bluetooth discussions, unless I am being tangential!

Right on the money, SilentKnight!
BUT, I am getting much, much less distance from laptop to axim than this. What exactly is the issue with the Axims' bluetooth function?
