Rinoskin Case doesn't Snap Shut
Hello, a friend of mine has the X30 and a Rinoskin case. She started complain recently (she has had the PDA for about a month) that the Rinoskin case no longer snaps shut. I took a look at it this weekend, and she is correct. The case closes, with a slight snap, but not as it did. It is looser.

So what could have happened to change this? The case has been dropped a couple of times... from a sitting position to the floor, that is all. I would expect the case to withstand this. It doesn't really look damaged anyway. It looks like the two sides don't exactly line up when closed, but it is off by just a bit... and it doesn't seem like it would affect how the case snaps shut.

HELP!!!

Had the same problem w/ this case for my x5. How and why this happened, I still don't know. I contacted Saunders and they agreed to exchange it. Despite a few drops, the replacement has been fine for the past 8 months.

since its not heat treated, just bend the latch in a little bit.

what probably happened is that the case bent on one of the edges, usually the one with the hinge on it. you can also take the pda out and bend the case on that point too.

ive had to do this a few times.

Same thing with mine!
I just tweaked the case a bit on the connection point and it works great now.
The Rhino Skins are tough, but I would never rate them as a high precision article.
Kinda like an old classic 4x4.
They just sometimes need a little kick!

yea just apply enough pressure to the case and dont worry it will bend. i bent in the four corners that hold the PPC down to give it a really really snug fit. i have done the same with the latch. JDH
