stylus isn't stylish
who in here hates that stupid toothpick that they give out and expect us to jab our axims with that?!! it gets pretty annoying and the hand starts to cramp after a while. the solution? i've come across this (i'm not getting paid to mention this) by the fine folks at at cross pen company: it's a nice, elegant pen of style and on the other side is a plastic tip, not unlike the one found on the other end of the toothpick. the cross "morph" feels better and it also looks classy, plus, it's a cross pen. my wife likes it so much, she took mine, so it's off to the store to get me another one. just go here: http://www.crosspen.com/Products/products.html or here: http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/crossdi...uo-review.html to read about it. i think officemax has a deal on it, better get yours before my wife takes it...

I use the Belkin 4-in-1 pen/pencil/stylus combo. Works very well, I'm very happy with it. This looks nice as well, can you purchase them in a store?

Well, stylish no, convenient yes. sure you can lose a stylus as easily as a pen, but you can't fit a big combo pen /into/ the PDA. If it's something extra you have to carry around to use the PDA, it's less convenient. Too bad some higher end pen maker can't make a multi-function that fits inside.

and wooch.. the belkin 4 in 1 that's a pen/pencil/stylus... what's the 4th function?

Sure you can loe a pen, & I have a stylus with it @ al times for that reason. I even bought a 3-pak of X3 styli I like the stylus that came with my axim I just like the Belkin pen stylus better.

Cross makes a wonderful pen, the matrix....very comfy and has a PDA tip, A roller ball tipe....with the ball points in the other end. The morph is a nice one too, had not seen the one with the PDA tip on it.

mc'm, i think the 4th function is a weapon. you can stab people in the eyes with it. well, i work in the medical field, so i always have to sign papers and stuff. so i always HAVE to have a pen clipped to me at all times. so that's why i have the cross morph, which makes it nice since it also has a styli tip. but if they made one to fit inside the stylus silo of the pda, then that defeats the purpose of why i bought up this topic, doesn't it? i mentioned that i find it frustrating to hold a toothpick to poke and jab my pda. besides, i think the cross pen looks more elegant and are more widely repected than the belkin brand. now if mont blanc made a stylus/pen....

and wooch, yes you can buy it at any office supply store.

I use a bic E3 pen. It has a stylus, pen, and pencil and it only costs 3 bucks at Staples. Easy enough to get over when I lose it....

The Cross Matrix looks great, what with the stylus part being removable/flippable into a second type of pen, but 80 bucks is way beyond what I'm willing to put into any pen/stylus... that's a lot of extra accessories that could be bought. Anyone know a discount source for cross pens? I realize their name is huge, and the quality too, but that's businessman money, not tech support geek money.

Now the fisher space pen, bullet pen/stylus.. that's a little more my style.

I think the best combo pen is the Rotring Data pen. 4 in1. it has a black pen, stylus, .5 pencil, and a highlighter. the highlter may seem silly but it actually is very good. it is just another pen spot with very bright orange ink.

$3...Now THAT'S what I'm taling about! The same price if you try to replace the stylus from Dell; so it's acutally a better deal. And it's cheap enough if you do loose it.

I had my stylus drop out before I left home for the day and just used my pilot G5 pen with the bp retracted (obv.) - worked just fine.

I definitely am not impressed with the X30 stylus. It feels like a coffee stir stick. It should be heavier and round, half the diameter of the average pen. I wouldn't mind a little extra bulk to accomodate such a stylus.
