Student Accessories
I'm a high school student
I just bought a new x30 624 w/ bt & wifi
I bought a thinkoutside bt keyboard for taking notes

What software should I buy for school (freeware is even better )

What other hardware do I need (i know I need screen protectors , any reccomendations on which one )

I'm have a limited amount of money so freeware & cheap things are appreciated though I do want high quality

Thanks....

first off, that thinkoutside bt kb is the best 100 ive ever spent. much better than that pos targus ir keyboard.

boxwave has much of the accessories you should look at.

first off their screen protectors are awesome. secondly, they also sell a device for charging your axim with AA batteries. www.boxwave.com

Wisbar advance 2, Resco File manager and Resco Picture viewer. Illium's Listpro is good for developing outlines with. For the accumulation and linking of diverse file types, say for a project, I use Atomic DB's Idea Library from www.happyjackroad.com . This is free software. Calc98 is a very good and free calculator - or at least the best since Napier stopped development. PocketDict is an excellent free dictionary program available from www.cellosoft.com . And thats just a few items. Anything in particular that you are looking for?

about what a new laptop keyboard feels and sounds like.

i use it all the time in class, but the sound is drowned out by a slide projector.

Have you thought about getting an extended battery for your axim? I use mines at school all the time and i found that it killed the regular dell battery, it wouldn't even last me half a day. ( i have a wireless campus, and i use the hell outta my wifi). I got the 2000mah battery and it was definitely worth it! I can go through an entire day of wifi, internet radio, mp3 etc and still have roughly around 30% at the end of the day.

They are a soft touch keyboard and make less noise than the Dell "quiet key" keyboard that I am typing on at the moment.

The keys DO click as you type from the Axim, but you can turn that sound off.
