Battery Voltage for X3???
I'm thinking of purchasing a Universal DVD battery for my portable DVD player and the description says that it will also charge PDAs and MP3 players if the voltage is 9 volts. How can I tell what the voltage is for my X3 and my Dell DJ? I've looked on the Dell site under specs for each but cannot locate this information.

Thanks.

The battery that is in the Dell X3i is a 3.7v, 950mAh (or 1100mAh, or 1800mAh or 2000mAh) Lithium Ion battery.

Good luck with your charger!

Is there any danger in charging the X3 with a 9v battery?

Unfortunately I cannot answer that question. However, logic states that if you are trying to charge a 3.7v apparatus using 9v something isn't going to work. Think of it as trying to use a firehose to provide water through your kitchen faucet. Something's not going to work right.

You shouldn't have any problems charging as you are using a device that probably reduce the 9V to be suitable for charging the battery. Mine reduce teh 110v to 5.5VDC 1.0A. Check the output information.
