X30, Jabra BT-250, and Skype
I've been experimenting with Skype on my X30 an Jabra BT-250. As I've been reading, the bluetooth is a no-go when using WIFI so that is very disappointing.

The biggest disappointment though is the Jabra BT-250. I paid a premium price for this last fall and just have not been happy with it. It is in no way suitable for music and during tests tonight on my notebook, it was just not great with Skype. A cheap corded headset outperformed it many times over. IMHO it does not meet minimum acceptable quality levels.

Is anyone having any better luck with Bluetooth headsets? Perhaps the new bluetooth v1.2 is better (does the X50 have that?)?

As a further subnote, I had my BT-250 in my notebook case. One of the plastic clips which holds the ear-piece broke. Thankfully some superglue fixed this easily as Jabra will not do any repairs and has no replacement parts. They offered to 'sell' me another one. Ha ha ha. Lets send some good money after bad.

.. Jason

Toshiba has just come out with BT stereo headphones. There is an article at infosync about it: http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/5716.html

The X30H + Blutooth Headset + Skype just doesn't seem to work. It doesn't matter what BT headset you use. Skype just won't work well with it (nor will Stanaphone).

BUT I've since used Microsoft Portrait over WiFi with the same Jabra BT250 and it works flawlessly! So it's not the BT headset or the X30, but something screwy with Skype and Stanaphone. I'm guessing it has something to do with full duplex sound... call it a hunch.

If you are dead set on using your X30H with your BT headset with VoIP, switch to Microsoft Portrait.

I've run extensive tests with Microsoft Portrait and it performs to expectations each and every time.
