Hello all! I've tried searching the forums to answer my question, but my eyes are starting to hurt, and I still can't find anything...

So I have a X30 with the Dell foldable keyboard. I would like to be able to charge my unit while typing, but most ac adaptors or 3-in-1 cables plug into the axim, not allowing me to use my keyboard.. So does anyone know of an ac adaptor that plugs directly into the keyboard?? Thanks!!

mmmmm, if it's the keyboard i've got i don't think it has a place to plug in an adaptor

are there any third party cables? perhaps cheaper than dell.. keeping in mind I live in Canada, so US prices are like double (well not quite) and shipping is more. thanks again!

get a usb cable, ul need the power plug thing, nex, buy adapta plug tip b, and a leed thing, wire it correctly,



next, cut of b end of usb, hook to pwer wires (red to one with writng)


test itto make sure its way dell ac is


and bingle, ya got a ac adapter for cheap

prices in usd:

adptaplug stuff: 10 bux
usb cable: u probly have a extra round the house,
power plug, i u dont have one, 10-20 bux, depemding on wat u get

No it won't if you do it correctly. I have done something like that and it works.

And no, it doesn't take a very smart chick to do that... (but it really helps)
Anyone with a little knowledge of electronics can do it.

Ahhhhh! I feel so dumb... I looked at the side of my axim's keyboard and there it is.... the port to plug in an ac adaptor.... I can't believe i didn't notice that before... Thanks for pointing that out

I'm confused. Why would you need to buy (or make) another AC adapter? Doesn't the AC adapter that comes with your Axim plug into this keyboard?

you can get another adapter at cellphoneshop.net, don't know if its a trusty site or not but they have one for less then 10 (American) dollars. (do it at your own risk, if the site is a fraud its not my fault =))
