cradle vs cable for sync
I got my Axim 30 for Christmas and I'm still in beginner mode. I was able to sync until two days ago and now my Axim 30 will not sync. I am using a USB cable but I want to know if I would have success more often if I bought a cradle. Thanks

I don't think it should make a difference provided that there is nothing physically wrong with your cable. Have you tried the following:

1. Uninstall then reinstall Activesync. (You should delete partnership first)
2 Reboot PC/ soft reset PPC
3. Change USB ports

I know it shouldn't matter but MS recommends that the PDA be turned off when connecting it to the cradle / cable and then turn it on after connected. They also recommend that if the PC isn't on that you boot the PC and then after it is up plug in the PDA and then turn it on. Shouldn't matter but we are talking Windows here. Of course, if your OS is NT or Win95 that's a whole nother animal.

The advise about un-installing then re-installing AS is probably good. D/L AS 3.8 from MS though.

I have both - cradle at home and cable at work. Both work fine.
