Belkin Case Crushes X3i
Hello. I just joined tonight so that I can ask a question here. On buying an X30, I sold my X3i to a co-worker. I included the Belkin book style case, bought separately, but which I'd never really liked, at no extra charge which she happily used. Then she started having a problem that I never had as I used a Piel Frama flip case with it: the X3i would continually freeze up. She's reset, it would work for a while, then freeze up again. In talking about it one day, I suggested that she leave it out of the Belkin case for a few hourse and check it to see if it turned on each time and didn't freeze up. And that was it. Those clamps in the Belkin case was crushing or otherwise distorting the unit in some way. Since switching to the OEM case the problem has disappeared. Has anyone else seen this with the Belkin, or any other brand of book style case? Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for replying. I didn't think of bending them outwards, or I'd be afraid that if we did do that then the grips would be too loose. Altho, for a fact the grips are so tight that one can be too exuberant in pulling the X3i out and launch it across the room.
