Case and card question
I'm a new owner of an x30H and have two questions.First I'm looking for a case that will accept the extended battery but I want to know if you can still use a regular battery in the case or do you need a spacer etc.The other question is about memory cards.I have seen alot of info on various brands and it seems some work and others don't.I will probaly get a 256.What works for you?

Good Morning...and Welcome!

I have the X30 H also. I have the Piel Frama Extended case (a bit costly - but worth every penny - it is SO beautiful). The Axim also fits in there without the extended battery.

I have a 1 gig Lexar SD card.....and cannot wait for a larger size to be available.

I have found that since there is only the one card slot on the Axim - it makes more sense to get a big card and then just leave it in there....I install programs on the card.....have all my music, pictures, e-books, and two 250 mb movies on there. I also put my IE Temp files folder on the storage card. I still have about 250 MB of space - which gives me lots of play room. It is great.

These are just my opinions, of course - but I hope they help.

If you get a case for an extended battery and use it with a normal battery the unit will not be snug. I've read that the unit can be loose.
As for cards, if you can afford a 1GB I would get that. By the time you put on software, music, movies and games your card fills up fast.

Tblove, congrats on your purchase! :

PDair has a hard case for the X30 with the extended battery. Regardless of the case you settle on, go to this thread that leads to an Aximcases discount for Aximsite members.

I'm partial to 1G cards. Believe me, it's easy to fill them up!

Cases.com has a couple flip cases that fit the extended battery and may still be a tight enough fit for when you use the standard one.

Go with the largest you can afford. Lexar and PNY are what I have now and both have been great.
