How to remove a Fellows screenprotector from my x30?
I just got my Brando protector in the mail. However, I am not sure how to take my current Fellows protector off. My first Fellows screen protector I could not get off with tape, but since a corner with sticking up I was able to (very carefully) use a toothpick to pull it off. But my current Fellows protector does not have any corners sticking out. How should I go about removing it?

I have read on forums here a couple of suggestions. The one that I remember is to soak the end of that toothpick to soften it, then you can use that to safely remove the old screen protector.

I highly recommend that you use a piece of scotch tape. Use a piece about 4 inches long, stick half onto the protector, holding the other half. Then use the tape to pull the protector off.

But since I have no corners sticking up, that would be hard to do with touching the toothpick to the unprotected screen.

I tried using tape with my first fellows protector, but it didn't work. However, I was only using about 1-2 inches of tape. Prehapes that was the problem.

I tried scotch tape again, but it didn't work. So I then decided to try duct tape. I put down long 3 or so inch strips at various angles, but I couldn't get the protector to come off.

Why didn't I leave a little extra in one corner so that I could easily get it off?

I used a pin to poke at the corner of the screen protector, and I was able to life it up enough to pull off the protector. But I managed to scratch the screen about 3mm or so at the bottom-left corner!

After spending about five minutes trying to get the screen lint-free, I put on the Brando, but I still have some pieces of lint on it. In order to get it off, I again used a pin. I scratech the bottom of the Brando this time, and surprising it scratched on the bottom. I would have thought it would be tougher there.

Not quite a happy night.

Tape will not take these cheap protectors off, that i know from experience. I too had to use a pin to remove my belkin. It is a very nerve racking experience.

Look at me section View MyPDA, I have a link on how to put a screen protector. I do this all the time and it is lint free if you are quick enough.

Wow! That's like screen protector hell! You just managed to convince me that I don't want to get one of those possed things near my Axim. Hey wait maybe thats it. Did you try a exorsium?

The Fellows was very scratched up, and as I said was very hard to remove.

But the Brando has pretty good screen quality, and easily comes off with a piece of scotch tape on the corner.
