Beware Rino Skin Case!
If you use the little screw that comes with the case for use with the belt clip be careful to screw it in tight and consider using some loc-tite to keep it in. Mine screwed itself out and sent my new Axim hurling to the floor.

Overall, Im not real impressed with the case. I don't like the way the lid mates to the case and the overall flimsy feel to it. I never dreamed that metal could be made to feel so much like plastic.

What do you good ppl think of this case?

How much protection does it afford you.

Did you know they just recently retired the Vomit Comet?

I love the case but it scratched my some of the silver off my x50v, and the hinge thing comes slightly out, so I have to push it in. I still love the case though.

I have the Rhino Case as well.
It does protect, but works like a 4th grader engineered the thing and I mean a failing 4th grader.
The hinge is dollar store quality and the door mates about as good as a door on a LADA (Russian Auto).
However, if you drop your Axim, you will be happy it was in a Rhino case.
Just look at it like a Yugo. You can always throw it away later.

I said heck with it and put a drop of super glue in the screw hole. No more problems. I am very happy with the case.

Love the case. Don't use the belt clip - way too geeky looking. :-D

The silver brushed off rather quickly. The sping that kept both pieces spung, heck knows where it is. I am not sure if I can order just a spring to attach both doors back together.

I thought it too would be a little thicker but it's rather thin metal and no foam or whatever to cushion the insides like what you get with the basic case that comes from Dell with the original purchase.

I only affixed the belt clip to my InnoPocket Case one time, and didn't have any issues with it falling off. However, I did heed the same advice posted by this thread starter, and tightened the screw with a nickel.

The cases for my kids SP's were poorly built, but protected them from falls etc...

Love it. I don't use that screw & clip, though. Using loctite as you mention should solve that problem, so I don't see it as a big deal anyway. I mean, it's not intended as an otterbox or something....

Of course, my main problem was my x3i would regularly hard-reset on its own, before I got the Rhino case. I figured there was some combination of buttons getting pressed & so far it seems I was right, as it hasn't spontaneously hard-reset since I started using the hard case.

I wouldn't trust loctite because the constant up and down movement applied the the screw from natural motions such as sitting could break that seal. I used epoxy and not only on the screw but the whole plate that makes contact with the case. That is there for life. The one thing I do not like about the Rhinskin case is that it does not protect the antenna . If the unit was dropped and landed on that edge then I can see the antenna bulb breaking. The cover should have been extended on the top to protect this area when the case was closed. I have never seen the ten dollar aluminum cases but I would say there is not much difference. Does anyone know of a case that lets the Axim fit into the cradle without having to remove the case?
