Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal Screen Protector Fit
In the review for the Boxwave ClearTouch Screen Protector (note: Not ClearTouch Crystal) It was stated that there were fitment issues associated with that particular protector. Namely, the protector did not fully cover the screen area.

I am in the market for a screen protector and prefer clarity. However, I would rather have a protector that fully covers the screen and appears slightly more dull over one that does not cover the screen fully.

The second screen I am leaning toward is the "Brando Protector Plus", which apparently has "the perfect fit"

I would like to know:
A. If the initial Boxwave ClearTouch fitment issues have been resolved
B. If the "Boxwave ClearTouch" fitment issues translate to "Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal" fitment issues
C. And, If the Boxwave ClearTouch fitment issues have not been resolved, to what extent is the screen unprotected?

Thank you in advance.

it only leaves a tiny bit of the screen not covered, which actually makes it easier to remove if you want to clean it or something.

I agree with bnet504. There isn't really any issue, only really dust gets in that area but no big deal. I personally really love the boxwaves. I installed one in december and it is still on with barly a scratch.

bnet504: just on a side note, you should update your sig, to "...thats 2074mb of email space!

I'm not as happy with the Boxwave on my X50v as I was with my X5. Seems that it also causes a me to have to tap harder to get a response. And now the edges are coming up on it. I'm in the market for a different brand protector myself, and will just write this $15 protector off as a learning experience.

I went with the BOxwave crystals based on the recommendations from the site. Fitment has been fine, with no issues.
The only thing I find is that while Boxwave says they are washable, it is a major pain in the hiney to actually wash them and come up dust free.

That is kind of where my pain began. I was a little off on the screen alignment putting on the protector. So I removed it, and had to wash the dust off. After that the edges and corners kept coming up. And for awhile my taps had to be much harder than normal.

I have been using boxwave crystal clear for the last 2-3 months.
In short: I am totally disappointed. That wasnt what I expected to buy.

Application of the protector is one of the hardest things I have ever done
in my life. There is always a problem. And even after a half hour's work to
make everything perfect, the edges of the protector is not sticking to the
screen. Sometimes it's worse, sometimes better. But always the edges are
a problem.

And my protector came with a crack on one corner. And that corner is never
never never sticking on the screen.

Well, I will never again try a cleartouch product before trying everything else
possible.

my experience has been very good
got my cleartouch crystal last week and although it took a while to align the thing... once i did, i was very happy with the job

took 4 washes before it finally went on straight

now its bubble-free, and protects my screen very well

I bought a Boxwave Crystal for the x30 and it was HORRIBLE. Just getting it on was a royal pain the ass (it took an hour). The screen protector was TOO big for the unit and would not fit until trimmed. After it was trimmed it would not adhere properly because the cornes were damaged by my trying to get it to adhere while it was too big and the edges got bent by the frame around the screen. However, the upside to this story is that I bought it from Aximcases.com and they are sending me another one for FREE! Great company. I hope this is not a free headache. They said the protector was probably mislabeled.
