recieved my protector but there was a scratch

hi,

im a happy X30M owner and i already got my PDAir extended case.
i also recieved the 1700nimh battery yesterday (got one from ebay) and charged it overnight. will see how long it lasts today. the same day i got the screen protector from brando workshops however i noticed there was a noticable scratch in the lower left corner. i applied it anyway to see if it's going to bother me and indeed it did with the backligh on and off. i emailed brando and recieved quick reply saying that they will resend it. this shows how great service they provide and i must say the protector looked great on the undamaged space.

back to the battery. i attached it to the back of the pda, however one of the sides doesn't stick to the pda well. it's connected and locked, but still there's little gap between the surface of the pda and the edge of the battery (only side of the lock). i tried numerous time to reattach the battery with no success. the batery casing is just somehow curved. however it's not loose enought for the battery to fall off or something.

now the question

i really don't want to use my axim w/o the screen protector (i thre out the dells default 1), and the sh from brando workshops takes a bit. is there an alternative for a screen protector for a week or so. or some kind of stylus that ont scratch?

thanks in advance for any info

This is the service that I expect from brando. :) btw. you should find out how they shipped ur screen protector. last time i read a similar situation they literally had it delivered within like 48hrs or something..cant remember offhand what i read. anyway you will not find this kind of service boxwave in a similiar situation. they automatically assume ppl are out to cheap them of money.

anyway to answer your question there's no alternative... personally i rather just wait for the screen protector. BUT, i have noticed that the dell stylus doesnt scratch the screen as much as i expected. so if your extremely extremely careful and do simple taps then i guess u can use ur screen unprotected. (again i rather wait but if you cant...)

thanks for quick replies guys. i'm extremely happy with brando's service and i just did not want to take advantage of them by reqesting faster sh. well fruit, i could not resist to not use the x30 w/o the screen protector :) so guess what device i'm using to type this post. i do make sure to not to presss the screen too hard and not to scratch it in any way.

the 1700 nimh batt works fine although i did not get a chance to fully test it. using it for more than 3hrs now with wifi on and still have about 40% left. i guess this is pretty good and maybe with better tweaks it will last ~5-6 hrs.

just be careful :) also dont play games that requires using the stylus to drag across the screen. my bro played a game like that and he scratched up the screen protector :) otherwise the stylus is pretty good shouldnt have a problem too much I HOPE

yea no games at all, just ocasional web brosing here and mp3 streamin there ;). i'm trying to limit myslef heh. it's nice to stream movies from my network server but since the serv and the pda are connected wirelessly i'm getting little buffering pauses during the play. this is also a 802.11 b network so i think it should be faster when i upgrade to G this weekend. i also plan to give a try to the net betaplayer 1.0.
