Exim protector blues
After starting to run low on my Dell protectors...I bought one of these, AU$20 a sheet is quite pricey, but after reading some pretty good reviews and the need for more permanent screen protectors I bought one.

Received the package today, and it turns out the protector is just 1mm or 2mm bigger than the screen, and it doesn't apply evenly because its too big. The excess sticks onto the bezel instead, and even trying to apply some force to slip the excess between the bezel and the LCD doesn't quite get it there.

Vid too!

I thought I'd update....the seller was very polite and offered my a full refund, or an EXiM X30 screen protector, which I have been told has measurements that match the screen more closely (I measured my screen to be 73.5mm by 56mm, and the X50 protector to be 74.5mm by 56.5mm, and the seller has told me that they measured the X30 protector and found it to be 73.5mm by 55mm, so it should fit the X50).

So I ask...does anyone have any experience with the screen sizes between the X30 and X50?

Exim screen protectors
After an issue I had with the X50 protector here, the seller of the X50 protector offered me an X30 protector which apparently should fit the X50. Does any X30 + X50 owners know whether the screen sizes are "compatible"?

If you have an X50v, then the X30 protector will be slightly too small. I believe the X50 (not v) is smaller so the fit might be better.

Maybe he sent you one for an X50v, instead of the x50 that you have.

Nah, the packaging is clearly marked "EXiM SPUC for Dell Axim X5/X50" though I'm starting to think that it was actually meant for a X50v. The diagonal length of the protector is exactly 3.7", just perfect for the X50v.

And I've gone with accepting the offer on the X30 protector...will have to wait a couple of days before it gets here and see how it goes.

Bought mine from pda-now.com, but on eBay. Quick delivery, but mine is too big to. Send them an email and hope they will get back soon with any information. This is not really what I expected...

Yes the X30 one fits good
edit: I think when they said X50 on the packaging, they only really mean its X50v.

You should find that if I didn't also ask a similar question in the X30 forum, there would have been no way to know whether this would have worked, seeing the question actually related to the X30.

It was bigger only by a very minute amount....cutting anything off would have trimmed too much, it wasn't worth trying especially when the seller was willing to replace it with one that fits.
