Help me to choose right Case for my X30!! First time for PPC
Hi everyone!!
I can't wait to get my Axim X30. It's my first PPC. I had a Sony Clie SJ-30, it was really useful for eBook reader PDA. Since I want something stronger and more featured PDA, I chose Dell Axim X30.
And I found this site is great and has really useful information !!

Now, I want to carry my X30 inside of my pants pocket or my jacket pocket. That's why I need something light. I'm sure that metal cases are very firm and solid, but it will be too heavy to carry around. no?
How about the leather case? I want something flip and foldable to back. Any recommandation? BTW, I'm planning to buy the famous Mugen 2000mh battery. So the case must fit this kits.

Please help me to choose a right case for my X30.
Thanks!!

Welcome to Aximsite!

I have personally found hard cases heavy to carry around, but I'm obviously weak and in the minority around here ...hehe... For quality leather cases, most people would recommended Piel Frama, Vaja or Sena. I'm not sure, but I think only the PF may accommodate the larger battery. For a really thin profile, consider a Bullguard case. It's basically a thin cover for the top. No worries about the battery here.

Aximsite has many case reviews. On the front page under Quick Links, click on the link.

the sena case seems to be the thinest case around. and probably the best in my opinion.

order the sena case from aximcases.com, use the discount, and order the one with out the belt clip. i think that is exactly what you are looking for.

If you look at the website, it does not list an X30 case for the extended battery like it does the X50, so I doubt it will fit:

The extended battery thing wad why I went with the piel frama- and I could NOT be happier!!! I absolutely love this case. This this is so well crafted it is almost a piece of art...ok, slight embellishement- but it is very well done. Openings for all the axim features- even the soft reset button. I would highly recommend this...OH! and, flip the case, snap it to the back backwards, slide your hand in, and it is the perfect fit for reading, games, etc...very comfy! ~Anne

Yes, I think I'll buy Piel Frama case for extended battery. It does look luxurious.
I'll order that case + 1800mh extended battery + Clear Screen protecter from aximcase.com
Thanks guys!!

Another vote for Piel Frama - excellent cases I've had three and no regrets

Piel Frama IS fantastic... only it doesn't allow to sync.
But in your case you don't really have that choice because you want something for the extended battery... so Piel Frama is your best bet... the quality of their leather and manufacturing is absolutely flawless!!!

I can't connect with the sync cable wearing Piel Frama case? There is no cutout on the bottom part?

Just went to check Piel Frama site. There is a cutout for sync cable. I think we can't put the X30 on the cradle when it's worn.
