Looking for a better belt clip
Is there such a thing as a case clip that doesn't just clip to your belt, but instead lets you loop your belt through it? I plan on taking my X30 into the backcountry and do not want to rely on the clip that came with my PDAir case. I can see the whole sheebang just popping off that belt clip, and even with an aluminum case, I'd rather not run that risk.

Go to Walmart and look at the $.97 nylon camera bag.It has a belt loop and your PDair will fit perfectly. It also has a velcro closure flap.

Good idea Tblove. Another option if you get a Krusell case ($21) they have a wide selection of different types of clips and holders. Including some like you are looking for. http://www.krusell.se/category.php?s=2&prodGrp=8

Thanks for the suggestions, but neither really does what I need. Putting my PDAir in yet another case (albeit one with a belt loop) doesn't work for me, nor does buying another case. I was just hoping to find a clip that would attach to my PDAir that I could thread a belt through.

Again, (unless I missed it), all the clips on that site are the typical spring type that clip over the belt or pants. I couldn't find one that looped.

Your going to have to improvise Scondar. You could use man's best friend duct tape for a short term solution or you could crazy glue the portion of the clip that joins under your belt and place a wedge in the top for even more insurance against release. What you really should be worrying about though is where the case clips on to the beltclip, that's the weakest point. If your really going out into the wild you would be better served taking Tblove's advice and get a bag with the beltloop you want to put your case in.

Well, I'll keep searching, and if I come up with something, I'll share it here. Thanks to all who chimed in.
