The most I've seen is 2000mAh, but there may be larger ones. If you get one of those 'battery extenders', you can have 4 AA batteries (4*1800mAh, * 1.5/3.7 = Nearly 3000mAh)Look on ebay; they are around £5.00 in UK, probably less in US/Canada

Thanks man, but no extenders for me - I just wouldn't like the way it would make my Axim look and feel all bulky.

So what about the highest amperage backup battery?
Where, how much, recommendations, reviews, etc.

Do you actually mean backup battery? I took it to mean a spare main battery..

What is the difference between the two?
Sorry I'm such a lamer )
I meant the battery that replaces the original one (same physical dimensions) but comes with most amperage possible!

Backup battery is a little green battery inside the Axim, about the size of a watch battery, it keeps the axim alive when you take the main battery out. It very rarely needs replacing. Theres not really any reason anyone would want to get a larger one of these.

The main battery is the big silver thing on the back, supplies main power to the axim. Many people keep spares, so they can keep using their pda if the first one runs out

Gotcha!
So I meant the spare main battery with the most amperage!

Mugen Power Enhanced Capacity Battery (Hi-Battery) 2000mAh for Dell Axim X3, X3i and X30

www.lionbattery.com

www.aximcases.com

Unless you're talking about the actual BUB, in which case it's not a replaceable battery.

Hehe Ok.. as I said, as far as I know, the most is 2000mAh, you can get them from www.cases.com I think with a 15% Aximsite discount.

Edit: Yep, its here at the bottom of the page : Mugen Power Enhanced Capacity Battery (Hi-Battery) 2000mAh for Dell Axim X3, X3i and X30

The code for aximsite discount is at http://www.cases.com/aximsite.htm

Would there be any contras against using this one battery with Axim X30 High, or is it just fine?

That'll work just fine, but AximCases has them for $10 cheaper, right now.

Nope, that would be fine
You might want to get it from www.cases.com with the code I put in the post above. That way, it is $39.00 instead of $49, and you will get 15% off on top of that
