MSN messenger and Axim X30
Hello!
I'm wondering if people on this list can help out. I've got an X30 (312 mhz) with wifi and bluetooth. I've tried to use MSN messenger many times but it will not connect. I've installed the MS patches and read the posts at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/archi...p/t-40801.html.

But Messenger still won't work. I have not yet done a hard reset because I don't want to reinstall everything (it will take hours) and I have no idea if a hard reset will work.

Have any of you been able to get MSN Messenger or Hotmail to work using your Axim X30 and Wifi?

Any advice you can give would be appreciated. Please contact me at geoanth(AT)myrealbox.com

regards
Geo

Did you make sure your date/time settings are correct?

Thanks, but yes the day and time settings are correct. Agile Messenger won't work either. What is going on? Can anybody else use MSN on their Axim X30? I've heard of many people having trouble with this.
Thanks in advance

I don't think you need to install patches or updates for MNS Messenger unless you are using Pocket PC 2002. All Windows Mobile 2003 SE have hte latest updated version of MSN Messenger. Do you have Microsoft Portrait installed? If so, check your settings and make sure it doesn't automatically log in to your .NET Passport.

Hope this helps

My MSN would not work and I found it was my router, it needed the firmware update.

I don't know how to slove your problem. But yes, I use MSN all the time on my X30. I've used it at home, in coffee shopes and hotels and even on the street, it works great. Sometimes it doesn't connect right away, but I just wait 5 minutes and then bingo.
