my broken hp bluetooth headphones
well after 3 months of having the hp bt headphone...it is now broken. it has been documented that this headband break easily. well mine just recently broke and i call hp and now they are asking a serial number for my ipaq. but i dont have a ipaq....i have an aximx30. they told me they wont replace my broken headphone w/o an ipaq serial number. what should i do? did they ask you for a serial number also?

so anyone here who has their hp headhone broken. what do you say when they ask for your ipaq serial number? or anyone here who has an ipaq hx2000, h2200, h4100, h4300, h5100, h5500, rx3000, hx4700 which is listed on their site that is compatible with this headphone. if u have any of those....can you please pm me with ur serial number? thanx.

please someone help me!!!!

Essentially, they can add a dummy iPAQ product/serial number to your case#. Ask for Damien. He will do it for you. If you can't get Damien, you have to be very friendly and keep insisting on the fact that HP sells it separately and therefore must honor the warranty even if you did not buy it as an iPAQ accessory. HP customer service is one of the best remaining among electronic firms. They are very friendly and polite, like Dell, but, unlike Dell, they are also very knowledgeable and patient at finding effective solutions to sometimes difficult problems.

hey it work...after calling like 3 times and talking to like 3 different techs...they finally submit to my demand.

i heard there is a new design for the headphone using indestructible headband. was your replacement the stronger headband? when did you get your replacement headphone? how long you had the old one before it broke?

last question...do i need to create a new connection on the bt manager for my new headphone on my axim again? can i use the old connection that is already on the bt manager?

thx for all ur help especially to Solsie, eastep, and DT1. i msg one other user only 1 time, redeyeksc...not only this user refused to help me...he put me on his ignore list. how did i know this? when i tried to send everyone a msg that i finally got a replacement and thx for the help....and it said redeyekfc has put me on ignore list!

that nerve of some ppl. so if you ppl see this user redeyeksc...dont bother him...he probably put u on ignore.

Actually, my headband didn't break but rather the volume switches stopped working and then eventually it wouldn't work at all. I'd had it for a couple of months, I think, when it was replaced about 3 months ago. Not sure that I got a new headband design. I thought it looked a little different at first but I'm not sure. Not sure if you need to create a new connection. Guess I'm not sure of a lot of things! But glad to hear you got a new set of headphones!

robrecht: well when you get your new headphone...u turn on ur bt manager in ur axim...there is this little person with a headphone icon (high quality audio on bt headphones)...then u turn on ur bt headphone...and u double click on that little person with the headphone on ur axim and ur connected.

my question is....can u use little person with the headphone on ur axim or do u need to create a new one?

i guess my question is when you get the new bt headphone...do you have to do everything all over again...like creating a passkey 0000 etc etc...the whole nine yards.

btw...do u have ur broken hp bt headphone and the new one you got? u can compare the headband and see it which is stronger or if they many any improvement to the lastest.
