Is it possible to replace screen protectors on x30s?
Hi, this is my first post btw

I just received an x30H i bought from ebay a week ago. The unit is in great condition, except the screen protector has noticable scratches and "worn out" dots on where the onscreen keyboard is.

Good thing is, the seller provided me with like 10 screen protectors.. but how do i get the old one off? it seems pretty tight on the unit, and i don't want to risk scratching the screen.

thank you

Welcome to the site!

There are a few methods to try.

One is to use tape. Put a piece of tape on a corner of the screen protector and pull up gently.

Another is using a qtip. Break the tip off of a qtip and use the remaining end to pryup the edge of the protector.

Good luck!

Yup. The tape method works well. When putting on a new protector, it is recommended to go into a steamy bathroom and apply it. The steam helps prevent dust under the screen protector.

Removing screen protector
You'd be surprised how much crap is floating around just waiting to slip into the static field on your 'freshly' cleaned screen.
Personally, I do mine in ten feet of distilled water.

You want to wipe it down with a lens cleaning clothe in a steamy bathroom. The steam creates a sort of clean room effect that allows you to put the screen protector on without anything floating by after you have wiped the screen. It sounds corny, but if you try it you will see it works.

Another note: If you have 10 screen protectors chances are he did not sell you a very high quality screen protector and you will be having to replace it every couple of weeks. If you spend the money now on a good one, you will save yourself many headaches.
