Charging X30 and X50
We just got a basic X30 unit to use as a second PPC in our household, to go with our X50. I notice that the AC adaptor included with each device is the same product--Dell P/N T2411 rated at 100-240v, 400 mA, 50-60Hz input and 5.4V, 2410 mA output. So both devices are obviously charged using the exact same charging configuration.

So my question is--can anyone think of ANY reason not to charge the X30 using the Belkin travel kit (AC/USB/Car charging cable/adaptors) which I purchased from Dell for the X50? The Belkin AC and car adaptors both have output ratings of 5.4 VDC at 2000mA, for what that's worth. But anyway I can think of no reason why a charging configuration sold by Dell would not work with both devices, given that the factory AC adaptor is the same for both.

Am I missing something?

Comparison pics are about 3/4 of the way down. Pics are of an HP, but you get the idea. I personally dont have an x50v, but can tell from those pics that screen wise, it blows my X30H away. That being said, Im completely happy with my x30, and have no plans on an upgrade.

Well, the X50 and X30 obviously have different plug designs, I don't know where my brain was. Thanks.

Mr
You know, I have NO idea what it was I replied to just now. I could have sworn it was a question about screen comparison. I think I replied to the wrong thread. But just in case, I think it's time for me to put the crack pipe down for the night!... jeez

Well actually I think that, between the two, my question was more clueless than your "errant" response!
Let's see now, where did I put my hippocampus...

You are correct in that you can use one AC adaptor to charge any Dell Axim. If you look on Dell's site, you will find only one ac adaptor for sale for use with all Dell Axims. In fact, this same AC adaptor is also the one used with my Dell DJ. (part # 2411). I'm guessing that Dell thought it easiest to made all of their small devices use the same charging spec.
