few questions about axim 30
I'm interested in buying one and have a few questions regarding them:

Internet: Is there a wireless card built in? and viewing the internet is it like using your desktop, or is it more like a cell phone browser? and does the wireless router have to be a certain brand, or any will work?

GPS: Ive seen the GPS accessory and this one of the main factors. To the people who have the GPS: do you upload your maps on an SD card? do you need to be connected to the net to use this?

basically any input you guys/girls have, or any websites that can tell me more about either of my questions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

There are two x30 models that include built in wireless cards. The 312mhz with wifi and bluetooth and the 624mhz. There is a low-end 312mhz without wireless, but the last time i checked Dell didn't sell it brand new anymore. Viewing websites in pocket internet explorer is similar to a desktop but crippled. You cannot view websites with flash animations, etc. in the standard browser, but I believe there are 3rd party programs that can view websites like that.

You don't need any wireless router in particular, you just need one that has 802.11b as that's the only wifi standard that pda's are currently compatible with.

I don't use GPS on my x30, but I know that you can store maps on an sd card and use the GPS without having to be connected to the internet.

I hope that I've helped!
