car charging and pins
I had my Axim X30H replaced a few months (April, i think) ago. I've got it set back up how i like it but now i'm starting to think about car chargers again. I'm afraid to use mine since it was after using my car charger just twice that the pins bent. One response i had when it posted about the problem initially was that the replacement ones had better pins. Does anyone know? I've been doing a lot of driving lately & my battery runs more than half way down before I get home. I get a bit paranoid (had it go into sleep mode once). Should i use my car charger again or do i risk bent pins? It's hard to shut the PDA down when i've got another 45 minutes to drive & I'm at a good spot in my Audible book. Any sugggestions?
thanks,
Purl

the old pin setup was just copper pins sticking out

on the newer devices, there's a circuit board with pins print onto it

I found this picture:

My PDA looks like that. I'm assuming this is the new type of pins with the circuit board.

pins and car charging
Thank you! That is what mine looks like. Silly me I hadn't even taken a good look. I've a longer car trip coming up and noting this is going to make a huge difference. Generally i'm reluctant to use my Axim much during a 12 hour drive but being able to recharge it.... ! Thanks.
