I notieced those cds on ebay that have allsort of software and games on them. is that a smart thing to buy? can they harm Axim? anyone had any experience with that?

Some of them are only pirate copies of games so you are buying stolen property

Yeah, I'd steer well clear of them. Although they can't actually HARM your Axim, you will be supporting the pirates by buying them, and depriving the developers of their actual incentive to write decent software (in most cases anyway :P)

well..actually they can harm it..in the older days when u could download stuff from various coders H2O..etc..some of the soft were encoded with al sort of malware...for the computer...so it was somekind of crap...but u can take ur chances..although is it pirated software

A lot of these apps are hacked too, to get around licensing issues. I would not assume that it was impossible for these hacked apps to cause unpredictable results.

yah dont waste money on those. plus there are enough freewares to get the everyday necessary jobs done!

If anyone travelling to Asia, you can get any software for like.... $5 a CD... oh yea, that 1 CD can contains 100s of program, games, etc....

But it's all cracked software still. If you have no moral qualms about using cracked software, you might as well just download it yourself and cut out the middle man.
