Foldable Keyboard PROBLEMS - Please Help!
I have had my foldable external keyboard for about 8 months. I love it for the most part but it seems to turn itself off all the time and I can only get it to work if I Soft Reset. And even then it continues to happen. Anyone have any suggestions, fixes, etc.
Its very frustrating as I love my Axim and its so much easier for me with a keyboard.

Also, I haven't added anything to the axim that I didn't get with it when I purchased. Any common suggestions?

Have you checked the batteries in the keyboard?

I don't have the bluetooth. Its just the foldable simple keyboard.

I know this sounds silly and makes me sound dumb, but... I can't image where to put batteries in this thing. Where might I find them to check them.

Thanks for the advice.

Does the keyboard connect directly to the bottom of the PDA then? If so, then it uses power from the PDA and doesn't have batteries.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, and yes, this may seem a bit off-topic, but I am desperately looking for a portable direct connect keyboard for my axim x30.

The problem I'm having is that all of the keyboards I can find (I live in England, if that helps) are either bluetooth, or for the axim x5/x50. Dell itself, for reasons best known to itself, only sell these keyboards to medium and large businesses while bundled with a PDA. Well, I already have my PDA, and I'm not a medium or large business. This forum was the closest result a google search yielded.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try ebay. Found a second hand Dell keyboard in Oz for AUD$20 including postage and it works well. Normally they go for much more but I was lucky
BTW thank you to previous poster - it didn't work when I tried it first but after installing the drivers it worked fine. Also I noticed a socket in the side. Is that for the Axim power supply or some other power source?

I have an Axim x50v... and would apprciate any input:
Is it possible to use the bluetooth keyboard while using wireless internet? I have called tech (un)support and they told me that it was a problem that was being "worked on" and that "sometimes it is possible and sometimes not".

Someone on this thread was mentioning a non-Bluetooth keyboard...Does anyone have a link to where one is sold?

Any input is helpful..thanks!
