PDair Dell Axim X3/X30 Ext Aluminium Case w/ Belt Clip

I'm thinking about ordering one of these cases for my Axim from Aximcases.com and taking advantage of the 15% discout on this site - several people have indicated that it is a good case and with the discount it is also a good price too.

Question is though, seeing as I'm not in the US, but in Italy, will I have to pay any daft import taxes or anything like that? Perhaps someone in Europe has already ordered from Aximcases and can tell me if they had to pay any extra?

Thanks for reading.

PS I'm getting a rigid case because I'm worried about the standard case, which came with my X30 damaging its screen, as I read in a posting here on Aximsite. This would be such a shame.

Personally, I hated the case. It was painted instead of being made of brushed aluminum. So, when it dropped, it actually chipped rather than scratching or denting. The case never closed right from the day I got it. The top back flap is not wide enough which causes the front cover to slide inside the case or outside the case. The top part never lined up quite right which got the glue of the neoprene lining onto the cover. The hinge was smaller than on the Rhinoskin, so it wobbled more. Also, the belt clip 'stubby' stuck out farther then needed. It shouse have used the small 'stubby' like Rhinoskin since the case itself already has to stick out farther than a non-extended case. I never liked it and will never buy from the company again.

Thanks for the input tiger_splash. You mention Rhino Skin cases? Are they any good? Can you get one for the extended battery? Any discounts?

Otherwise, are their any other brands which do Aluminium cases for X30s, that will fit the extended battery?

I have the PDair from Aximcases and have had no problems. The fit and finish is very good on mine.I also have the Rhinoskin case and it's ok but like the PDair better. Some of the owners of the Rhino cases complains about it scratching their Axims. The Rhino regular case is almost as thick as the PDair extended case.

Another vote here for the PDAir. I've had it out in the field, worked it hard, and it has performed excellently. I think, if you search here, you'll find the majority of buyers have had similar experiences.

You guys are winning me over to the PDair extended case again. I have read some good comments about it here in these forums - you just have to see whether there are more good than bad comments, I suppose.

So far PDair 2, non PDair 1.

Any others care to comment?

Thanks anyway TBlove - but I already knew about the discount. I wanna do a little more research and see what others say before splashing out the cash.

I personally like the Rhinoskin case. I've had it since the beginning and it's wonderful
