Audio Hiss

I am getting a hissing sound on my Axim x30 when I play audio. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it?

Some players have pre-amps so you could turn down the gain so to speak eliminating most if not all of the hiss depending on the file. I personally used TCPMP (Then known as BetaPlayer) when I had my X30/High.

Do you mean hissing when using headphones? If so, you might try different headphones. I tried the following on my X30:
Sony MDR-010 headphones, no hissing, average sound quality, must turn volume up.
Koss SparkPlug ear buds, lots of hissing, very sensitive, very loud, must turn volume down.
Koss KSC-35 ear clip headphones, very little hissing, good bass, my favorite.

The Sony MDR-010 are your typical headphones with a metal band over the head.
The Koss SparkPlugs are the in the ear type that uses a memory foam ear piece.
The Koss KSC-35 fit on the outside of the ear. There is no metal band over your head. The speakers have a "C" shaped clip that fits the backside of the ear.

Exclamation Solution

DO NOT USE 16 ohm headphones use 32 ohm (or more) instead

That was working im my case. Good luck.
