Well, you can use Terminal Services if your PC has Windows XP Pro. If not, many have suggested VNC Viewer/Server, which is a freeware desktop terminal connection program.

I believe there are some services you can subscribe to that allow you to remotely control your PC when you're away from home.

something even easier... VNC (Virtual Networked COmputer). UltraVNC is the BEST PC based server/client. There are also basic Pocket PC VNC Viewers, like Pocket VNC. The best part of it all is its all FREE. I like free! And they are really good programs too. They work better than the software you have to pay for.

I have even seen VNC Server running on a Pocket PC and the user was at the PC controlling it. I havent tried it myself, but it looks promising.

Terminal Services

I resell Point of Sale solutions, and in restaurants terminal services is run to access the main server, because the wait-staff use Axim's instead of writing your order down. Now terminal services is very tricky. I know in my installations, I must upgrade Windows XP to Windows Server 2003, to install terminal services. Which is about $1000.00. If this is a route you want to go, let me know and I can send you several links and documents on setting up and deploying terminal services on your handheld. Nice thing about using that though is the Axims already come with Terminal services, so no upgrades needed on your handheld, just home PC.

I am using UltraVNC and I've been using my laptop to remotely access the locals (3 servers in different locations) while I'm travelling, but I really want to use my X50v from hotspots. Is there a Pocket PC viewer that will work with UltraVNC WITH the MSRC4 encryption Plug-in?
