compressing music videos

I am a bit of a newby to the tpda world. This question may have been asked before, but here goes.I have managed to transfer a dvd to sd card using fairuse wizard.My question is are there any programs or software that allow you to compress downloaded music videos,ifso what size would a typical video compress down to.

you can set the compression settings/sizes/sound quality and all that stuff in Fairuse
