Is it possible to convert Axim 30 to a phone?

Hi,
Isn't there a way to convert a PDA to a mobile phone? Isn't there such a thing like a gadget fixes in to SDIO slot or something which can house a SIM and dial through the PDA?

LOL, there is not such a gadget, because there is still no radio to work through mobile phone networks, and one would surely drain a lot of power from the battery. Plus there are no phone buttons on the axim, like 1 through 9. Just get a mobile phone or smartphone.

There are actually GSM/GPRS cards for the CF slot but not for SD. And as sblive mentioned, they would not be practical because of the power drain. However, they would be useful for connecting to the Internet for checking mail, light surfing, etc.

all that being said there is SKYPE if you have wireless connectivity, a headset and the built-in microphone ... there you go and its even free.

Dowload skype and you can use it as a phone on wifi spots its awesome. use headphones though. Come on guys what happened to all the enthusiasm you guys rock
