I have been trying to enable the wireless feature on my Axim X30 without any luck , is there something that I have missed? I have went throught the tools menus and tried to select 'enable radio' but all that happens is that I am kicked out of the Dell WLAN Utility altogether :realmad: .
I should say that I am trying to get the Axim to talk to a 108 Mbps G (Netgear WGT624 v3)wireless router set to allow access to both 802.11g and 802.11b.
No, since Axim won’t work with G, the PS note was only an observation! I’m assuming you got the 108 to be able to reach that speed on your other machines! However unfortunately activating B on your router takes that away from you!!
Now since you have Odyssey on your Axim, my suggestion is to try and setup your Axim wireless access with Odyssey (it will also work better with WPA!) :approve:

Hi Cineza
I have tried running the odyssey client but under status all I get is 'adaptor not installed' :rolling:
I know that it has worked in the past because I have used it to detect wifi hotspots. Any ideas?
Make a full backup and hard reset!
However after the reboot and before restoring or reinstalling software, try to connect to your network.
Once the wireless is setup and working, restore your backup.

If you restore from your backup, there is a possibility you might be restoring back the problem. At least do a backup when you have wifi working; that way, you can also restore back to that point if your original backup file is bad.
Good point!
I see it more like, if the backup contain the error, just restart (Hard rest, wireless setup and this time reinstall software; almost same amount of time!)
But then again you are right in sense that you’ll have a good backup to go back to, down the road (even if it doesn’t contain much more except the wireless setup!)
Me personally, the only backup I keep is the PIM and stuff on my SD card; since with all the bugs to be discovered and new ROM upgrades around the corner your backup is just a source for potential new bugs and incompatibility issues of the future…
A big thanks to all of you, I thought it was going to require a hard reset (not done it before and unsure how to carry it out therefore I will work through this on my return to work (since this is where my craddle and documentation for the Axim are).
