Need help on Window Media player

When I turn on my Media player 10(I think). It is always looking for skins but cannot find 1. Anyone have encounter this before?? Can teach me how to solve??

I have never seen that problem. But, download one of these:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win.../ppcskins.aspx

and put it in the device's \Program Files\Windows Media Player directory.

as is from the download "zipped" or unzip it upload the folder?

Unzip it the files first.

I am having the same problem on my X30 ever since I update the ROM to A06. When I run wmp it get stuck 'searching for skins'. I did a backup first and restored and everything seemed to working except Windows Media Player 10. Also, if I try to open a mp3 file directly it says it is not a recognized file format. There are already three skin files in \Program File\Windows Media Player\

Has anyone had any luck resolving this problem?

You know what, on my x51v I can't get skins to be recognized by WMP. I load them into what seems to be the right place (windows), but when I let WMP search for the skins it only finds the default one.

Pretty frustrating - any ideas on this?

The skins have to be made for your verison of WMP. I had the same problem and I coul not see the skins before I downloaded the proper version. So make sure that the skins are updated.

I was never having that problem with my X30, but I downloaded TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player). Then I changed my button layout so that TCPMP replaced WMP9. I actually really like it for my PPC rather than WMP.
