Switching to WM 5.0

I currently have an x30 (624mHz) with WM 2003 SE. Can I change the OS to WM 5.0?

Why would you want to. There is more bad than good in that os. Wm2003se is a great and the most stable windows mobile os out there right now.

Yes, the OS ROM has to be hardware specific. Which means you can only use the WM 5.0 upgrade software for X50/X50V.

Why use WM5.0?

I'm buying (reluctantly) an X51v... if I can, i'll UPGRADE it to WM2003 SE!!! But i'll keep mobile media player 10.

WM2003SE doesn't support NVRAM.

i have seen the new wm5.0 and i think it is a lot better.

it is a lot nicer to run through folders with a back function. And the same goes for the internet explorer. When i used my friends newer pda with wm5.0 and afterwards i have to use my own again it kinda really gets boring to go through folders or to cruise around in the internet.

WM5.0 rulez, 2003SE sux

(it is the most stabile? why do i have to reset once a day due to several reasons? but well, maybe it's not the OS but just the crappy device...)
