Keep getting not a valid pocket pc app

Folks

I have attempted several freewares and even MS Money for Windows Mobile 2003. Nothing seem to get installed. I get the same error "Not a valid pocket pc application" . What gives? I am new to axim...

Dell Axim X30
Windows MObile 2002 Second Edition
Intel PXA270

Are you installing them from the desktop when connected via ActiveSync? Check out the tutorial on installing software in my signature.

No I copied the exe file to the x30 and stored it in the SD storage card and then clicked the exe file.
Only then I get this message....

That's the problem.

Click on the EXE while it is still on your PC, with your x30 connected to the PC via the cradle / sync cable.
