X30 Does not alert for appointments
I have been having this problem since I got my X30 a year ago. At one point Dell sent a replacement, but it was a refurbished model with a scratched screen, so I sent it back. Besides, it did not fix the problem.
The problem is that the X30 stops notifying of appointments. The power button does not flash, the alarm does not ring, and there is no message on the screen. Very annoying, as one major reason for having a PDA is so I don't miss meetings.
I have not determined what, exactly, causes the problem. I can restore alerts by doing a hard reset and restoring from backup, though in the last week there have been occasions when that does not work. After a hard reset, before doing an ActiveSync, the alarm works fine, so I don't think I have a hardware problem.
This is driving me up a wall, and I'd appreciate any pointers on how to resolve, or workarounds.
