URGENT : How to Downgrade Information

Hi, I have been told it is possible to downgrade the ROM on the X30h

Could someone please provide me with precise instructions on how to do this,

I believe you downgrade using the SD card method, I have a 1gb SD card but require instructions on what ROM to get eg combined, non-combined and how to get it from the download program,

My PDA is wireless and Bluetooth X30

I would be very grateful,

I bought my X30 about August 2005, and it came with A06 ROM. Am I missing something useful that so many people seem to want to go to the A05 ROM, & is Dell is aware of this, why isn't there an A07 ROM to fix the problem??

Sorry read your post again, you maybe missing send/dial via bluetooth commands, Dell are aware of it but its only a problem on some pda's so its up to them whether they release A07 its unlikely they will as X30 is End Of Life

Download the A05 ROM/flashing utility from Dell's site. Run the exe to extract the files. Copy the *_C_*.IMG file to the root of your SD card. Hold down the contacts button, press in on the jogwheel and hit reset. It will start flashing from your card right away.

:approve: Worked fine. I've moved the IMG to the SD Card, and rebooted Axim with keys Contacts and jogdial pressed. It started reflashing the unit.

I recommend doing this procedure with 100% battery.

I would use the power adapter otherwise if your battery dies in the middle of reflashing you will be hosed.
