Activesync 3.71

It seems like the admins at work might be willing to install Outlook and Activesync for me. Unfortanately they are going to use their own files, and they will install the slightly older version of activesync 3.71. I currently use version 3.8 at home. Should install the older version on my home computer? I'm planning on synching between my home and work computer, but that is a whole another issue.

I have an axim x30 mid with A05 Rom.

Thanks.

Thanks. They have a seperate network drive that houses all the software they allow to install. I went through the folders and found they have activesync 3.71. I could ask them to install 3.8, but they don't have it on the network drive and probably will get version 4.1 as it is the newest right now. I heard 4.1 is very poor compared to 3.8. They will most likely install it when I'm not around, so it's best to downgrade then upgrade (I think) in this case.

Persuade them by saying 3.8 is the newest for WM2003SE. Even download it and have it ready for them if you have to.

I talked to them today and they are going to let me be an admin for my work pc. So they should be able to install outlook for me, and then I can install activesync. Now the big problem for me is synching with 2 pc's.

I get to be admin of my computer, but not all computers on our network. A lot of companies let you do this to install software, but obviously not to use on a daily basis.
