Javascript & PIE Question

I have been following the Java / Javascript threads & have tried all of the free apps mentioned, but to no avail. Before I buy a new browser or similar product, can some who run them already try the following:

I am trying to stream online audio news via the NPR radio site. (www.npr.org)
I am using the "hourly newscast" link as a test. They use the following javascript: "javascript:getNewsCast();"

On my desktop unit it will invoke a popup showing a choice of real audio or MS Media Player. This does not happen on my Axim30 High - in fact, nothing happens.

Is the script required for Media Player (on a desktop) the same as that for Pocket Media Player on my AXIM? OR is that the problem & not my AXIM's javascript handling capabilities?
