Don't delay, protect your PDA!
This is just my public shoutout to everyone..
and my personal warning to all to spend the extra 30 bux and get a nice case for your PDA's..
I delayed mine and used the money on something else and used the case that came with my Axim x30..
Apparently dell had not done a successful drop-test on the case from 3 and a half feet up..
Now I am without something very important to me and believe me, it affected me greatly..
I say this to save you future trouble..and you will thank me later..
BUY A NICE CASE FOR YOUR PDA

*Nods* Yeah, I ordered one of the aluminum cases with my Axim, and I don't know how many times it has saved me. That, and don't clip the Axim on your belt, it's too prone to falling. Store it in a pocket or something.

A lot depends on the case also. Almost any soft case will not provide a high level of drop protection, you would want a hard case for that.
As fas as belt clips, the Sena case has a really good one that will not let the device come unclipped without a 90 degree rotation. I have had mine for 2 months and it has hasn't fallen off yet.

The rhinoskin case looked like it had the best belt system
however, I can't imagine it had much drop protection..
thank you to all the members of the site to being very hospitable to me, even though I have come here with nothing but questions.
This is just my way of giving back and saving you all from some trouble

I ordered a rhinoskin aluminum case with my Axim when I first got it and I love it. It has saved my axim from a premature death at least twice. Especially since I like to carry it in front jeans pocket. The only improvement I would make on rhinoskin is better coverage of the antenna.

I bought two cases; one for my g/f, and one for me... both have a magnetic enclosure, where very cheap, and have the spring steel style clip, that absolutely will not come off, unless you take it off (or you have very tight pants, etc.). My g/f's case has a 360 degree pivotable clip, where mine won't pivot at all, but the strength of the spring steel clip is unmatched by any of those detachable clips. My case isn't protectec on corners, so I'd not trust it in a fall, but i've had no problems in having it fall off the clip, or just putting it in a coat pocket... if you wanna see what case i'm talking about, do an ebay search for "real lambskin case x51" for mine, and mdx case for my g/f's (her's is not as pretty, but has better protection, I gave her the choice of the two) and you'll see the cases I have.

I just got a Rhino-skin and I'm very happy with it - If you want your Axim protected with the Hummer equivalent of a case you need an Otterbox - but failing that a Rhino should do the job well.

Yeah I need protection but seriously, you'd need to be going to war to need an otterbox
