Question wireless stays on?

Just recently I started using the wifi on my x30. But when I turn my axim off...sometimes I notice the wireless stays on and drains the battery. is this a common problem? is there a fix for it?

judging by your "mypda" ... your device is NEVER off fully ... only WM5 have the fully off option... therefore... when you're in suspend mode and didn't turn wifi off before that ... it is normal of what you are experiencing.

I had a similar issue with wifi staying "on" even though my X51v was turned "off". It was running ROM version A01 at the time. I had one other worse wifi-related symptom as well. My Axim would not power on without performing a soft reset.

The solution for me was simple: I upgraded to ROM A06. My wifi has been very stable since the upgrade.

just wanted to accentuate the point of the device being off and in suspend mode . ... you'd be surprise how many people thought they had turned theirs off but meanwhile it is only in suspend ... :)

fully off is different then when device is suspend ... when you push the power button again ... if the device is instant on then no ... it wasn't fully off previously.

just wanted to point that out so that others might know the difference ... not trying to accuse you of anything ;)

anyway ... peace !

I have the same problem from time to time on my x51v, I would recommend that you disable the wireless before turning off your axim.

if your device was really off ... you shouldn't be experiencing the symtoms !!!

unless ... it's NOT really off and you thought it was !!! ... :rolling:
