Question x3 orange light on in cradle, won't run help

please help I just bought a x3 for work and it works great so my friend and coworker had me get him one, just received it and it don't work it will power up for about 2 seconds then die.( go blank) the orange light is on when its in the cradle and have tried a hard reset. no help. installed this battery in my unit and it worked great no problem so its not the battery help any ideas?

Hmm....are you sure it's not that battery? That sounds pretty damn weird...

You also tried a hard reset which basically 'cleaned' the entire system.

You've tried powering it up in the cradle?

Where did you receive this Axim X3? You might want to question the seller...

Yeah ...
Orange light indicates low resources - memory/power.

Maybe the pins at the bottom of your X3 are bent, so that the cradle power supply don't connect to the battery.

This is a very common problem on the X3 series.

I got one myself :-(

Can you switch the battery with the other X3 - just for test ?

Try to charge the empty battery in cradle for about 4 hours.

I did change batteries and the other x3, worked fine it showed a 90 percent battery charge and messed with it for 20 minutes with no problem? how do you or can you replace the backup battery?

The backup battery is only in used WHILE you switch the main battery.

The backup battery cannot be replace by simple means, and it is charged via the main battery - it takes a while (days) to get full charge.

Think you got a serious HW problem - what about the pins ?
