screen damage?

Can someone help me? I have had my X3 for almost 3 years. It has always worked perfectly. Recently, it locked up and the touch screen would not respond. I did a hard reset and then when I went to re-calibrate the screen it would not respond to the stylus. The screen does not appear to be cracked, however when looking at the screen I notice a small area about the size of my thumb where I can see a series of dots in a grid pattern. Do I need the entire screen replaced or only part of it? And where can I get this done inexpensively? I can find new or gently used X3s on ebay for almost the price I've seen for screen repair.

Many people have had this problem, and found out it was only the lock button that was on. Check that first, even if it sounds simple.

No unlocked button on the X3 series but good advice though. Have you installed a new screen saver lately? Try the device without it. If it is found to not working if I was in your shoes I would get it replaced as an used device could have the same problem sooner than later.

I think your touchscreen panel is dead.
Pocket PC techs sells them for $99 which isnt worth it (i think)
its best to buy a new one or buy a cheap broken x3 with problems on the MB or dead LCD so u can put the touchscreen panel on yours.
