Exporting my PPC W2003 Contacts to a PC

I'd like to export the contact from my contacts book in Axim X30, now I did do a backup but that's almost impossible to open with anything on the PC. Is there a way to export to contacts to say CSV or anything readable ? Thanks.

Syncing to outlook would be the obvious way to do it....

Install ActiveSync and Outlook on your PC. The first time you connect your Axim to your PC (via a USB sync cable or the cradle), you will be prompted to set up a partnership. Follow the prompts, making sure you select the option to sync your contacts.

*Note that both ActiveSync and Outlook can be found on your Dell install CD. If you don't have that anymore, you can download ActiveSync from Microsoft (free - just Google it). Outlook will have to be purchased since it is not free.

To export your contacts to a CSV, click File --> Import and Export...

Click Export to a file and click Next

Select Comma Seperated Values (Windows) and Next

Select your Contacts folder and Next

Click Browse and go to the folder you want to save it in and give it a name and click Ok and then Next

Make sure the box is checked...don't change anything and click Finish

If you do not have a PC?

Download yahoo!GO and sync to your Yahoo account, then use Yahoo's import/export features to convert to CSV. No PC needed. It's the long way around.
